Locking the passenger doors
F Open  the   doors.
F  O n   the   rear   doors,   check   that   the   child   lock  
i

s   not   on.
For
  more   information   on   the   child   lock,   refer   to

emove   the   black   cap,   located   on   the   edge  
o

f   the   door,   using   the   integral   key.

I
nsert   the   integral   key   in   the   socket   without  
f

orcing   it,   then   without   turning   it,   move   the  
l

atch sideways towards the inside of the
d o o r.

R
emove   the   integral   key   and   refit   the   cap.
F
 
C
lose   the   doors   and   check   that   the   vehicle  
h

as   locked   correctly   from   the   outside.
Unlocking the passenger doors
F Pull  the   interior   door   opening   control.
Changing the battery
Battery ref.: CR2032 / 3 volts.
B attery   replacement   is   signalled   by   the   display  
o

f   a   message.

nclip   the   cover   using   a   small   screwdriver  
a

t   the   cutout.
F
 
L
ift   off   the   cover.
F

emove   the   flat   battery   from   its   location.

it the new battery into its location
observing
  the   original   direction   of   fitment.

lip   the   cover   onto   the   casing.

Following disconnection of the vehicle battery, replacement   of   the   remote   control   battery   or

n   the   event   of   a   remote   control   malfunction,

ou   can   no   longer   unlock,   lock   or   locate   your  
v

ehicle.
Remember
  to   refit   the   mat   below   the   armrest  
a

fter   removing   the   reinitialised   electronic   key.

F Place  the   back-up   key   (integral   with   the  r
emote   control)   in   the   lock   to   unlock   your

ehicle. F
 O pen   the   front   armrest.
● R aise   the   mat   by   its   tongue   and   remove   it.

lace   the   electronic   key   on   the   back-up  
re

ader.

witch   on   the   ignition   by   pressing   the  
"ST

ART/STOP"
  button.
The
  electronic   key   is   fully   operational   again.
If
  the   problem   persists,   contact   a   CITROËN

ealer   or   a   qualified   workshop   as   soon   as

ossible.

Replace the oil filter each time the e ngine   oil   is   changed.

12 V battery
The battery does not require any maintenance.
H owever,   check   that   the   terminals   are   clean a

nd   correctly   tightened,   particularly   in   summer
 a

nd   winter.
When carrying out work on the battery, refer to the "12 V battery" section for details of the
precautions
  to   be   taken   before   disconnecting  
t

he   battery   and   following   its   reconnection.Depending
  on   the   environment   (e.g.   dusty  a
tmosphere)   and   the   use   of   the   vehicle  
(e.g.
  city   driving),   replace them twice as often
if necessary .
A
  clogged   passenger   compartment   filter   may  
h

ave   an   adverse   effect   on   the   per formance  
o

f   the   air   conditioning   system   and   generate  
u

ndesirable
 o
dours.The start of saturation of the particle filter is
indicated
  by:
On a new vehicle, the first operations of
regeneration   of   the   particle   filter   may   be  
a

ccompanied   by   the   smell   of   "burning",  
w

hich   is   per fectly   normal.
Following
  prolonged   operation   of   the  
v

ehicle at very low speed or at idle,
you
  may,   in   exceptional   circumstances,  
n

otice   the   emission   of   water   vapour   at  
t

he   exhaust   on   acceleration.   This   does  
n

ot affect the behaviour of the vehicle
or
  the   environment.
